Daily Prayer
The 7 p.m. service is our most informal service. We welcome people of all ages and from all parts of the world. People in their 20s and 30s are particularly attracted to join us because of our sense of community, creativity and spirituality. We enjoy contemporary praise songs, traditional hymns, Taize chants, interactive prayer times and times of silence and reflection. One Sunday we might be worshipping in a 'cafe church' style, the next might be an informal praise service and the next an Iona communion service.
We value intelligent biblical preaching which includes insights from the riches of 2,000 years of Christian spirituality and discipleship. Our regular sermon series are designed to enable us to make the connections between Sundays and the rest of the week. We believe that the whole of our lives are an act of worship to God. The 7 p.m. Sunday service is a time when we worship as a community. It is a spiritual oasis where we draw fresh inspiration to make a difference in God's world. Most Sundays the service ends with refreshments at a local bistro. This is a good time for visitors and new members of the community to get to know each other. New people are warmly welcomed to join in one of our lively Bible Study groups or to come along to the different social events that naturally spring up mid week.
