Dear Friend,
Thank you for expressing an interest in this year’s Women’s Retreat. We would be delighted to have you along. Registration opens 10 January. The retreat is from 5pm on Friday 15 March until 5pm on Saturday 16th March. Our speaker is Revd. Gillian Wilton an Anglican priest, former assistant chaplain at St Paul’s and leader of these retreats, so well known to many of us. Gillian will explore aspects of God’s breath that calms, gives life and enables us, and our breath of praise in response.
This year the retreat is at the OAK, the Old Abbey at Kortenberg, click to go to their website. They have given us a warm welcome and we look forward to a good retreat. It is probably easy to get to for many of you.
To make the retreat accessible to more of you, we are offering two packages. You may stay for the full 24 hours, or come to supper and the first talk on the Friday evening, going home for the night and coming back for breakfast and the rest of the Saturday events. This will not only make the retreat easier for those who like their own beds, or have young children etc, but will save you a certain sum of money.
Some of the bedrooms have twin beds. As a recognition that for some people this will be less attractive than having a room to themselves, we have offered a 10% reduction. You may either say when booking who you would like to share with, or have someone allocated to you.
The costs are either:
Full accommodation, (we have 39 places including shared rooms)
Full accommodation: early bird – booked and paid before 31 January €95 (shared room €85)
Full accommodation, booked and/or paid after 31 January €110 (shared {if still available} €100)
Or
Meals Only, (there are 11 places, assuming all 39 beds are gone)
Meals only Early Bird – booked and paid for by 31 January €65
Meals only, booked and/or paid after 31 January €75
Please note the cut off is precise. If we haven’t received your payment by 31 January you will have to pay the full amount.
Please also note that booking closes 21 February. This is at the request of OAK so no bookings may be made beyond then.
Registration is a two step process. i) All emails for registration should be sent to brusselsladiesretreat@gmail.com with ‘registration’ as the subject. The email should contain the following information:

Special dietary needs or other requirements: the only dietary options we have negotiated so far with OAK are pescatarian (no meat but will eat fish), vegetarian (no meat or fish) and gluten free.
Any other information/needs (name of person you wish to share with if booking a twin room with a friend)
Please then make the appropriate payment (with a donation* if possible) to The Friends of Holy Trinity asbl Events Account: IBAN BE51 3635 2047 5162 with women’s retreat and your name in the communication.
*We try to keep the cost of the retreat as low as we can. Nevertheless we realize that it is a significant cost. We have created a Benevolence Fund to be used to help those who would find it difficult to fit the cost into their budget. Please consider very seriously making a contribution to this fund.
We like to meet new faces each year, so please do spread the word about this event to any anglophone Christian women in Belgium.
Yours in Christ,
