Music Ministry

What follows is a description of the normal pattern. Please be aware that COVID-19 is causing some temporary disruption - particularly to music in church. Click here for more details.

There are many opportunities to connect with Holy Trinity musically. From our robed choir to contemporary praise and worship bands, there is something for everyone. During the year, there are also special events and services that delve into the rich musical traditions of the Church.

robed choir

At our 10:30 service, there is a robed choir, led by our Director of Music, David Mitchell. Accompanied by an organ, or sometimes piano, this group meets regularly on Tuesday evenings to practise and hone their skills. For more information, contact David.

african style gospel choir

At our 14:00 service, the musical worship of the service is led by an African-style gospel choir, directed by the versatile David Mitchell. The joy and animation of the choir brings a great sense of life and worship to the service. For more information, contact David.

contemporary worship band

At our 18:00 service, a contemporary praise and worship band leads our musical worship. Sometimes it is a piano and cello, and other times guitar and drums, but always seeking to be worshipful and high quality. For more information on this team, contact John Wilkinson.

Annual Events

Several times during the year, our Director of Music David Mitchell pulls out all the stops and assembles full orchestras and choirs for special services, particularly a Passion service on Good Friday, and the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols during Advent.
